Board of Commissioners

The Cumberland Housing Authority is governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners, one of whom is a housing authority resident.  The Town Council of Cumberland appoints the board members to a five-year term and may be reappointed. The term of each Commissioner expires in a different year to insure continuity.  The Commissioners’ job is to serve as an advocate for CHA.  They set policy for the operation of the Housing Authority to ensure that the agency is run in an effective, efficient, ethical and legal manner.
